Direct Construction Services is on point!! The value of service is impeccable. Timothy always called to followup with me, he texted me, he's friendly and I really appreciated everything he did. I had to get a house demo and I got plenty of quotes, but Tim was very knowledgeable and answered every question that I had. He made this process very smooth. I would highly recommend Direct Construction Services.

My husband Chuck and I would highly recommend this company. In Jan. 2020, one of our rental properties had an explosion that blew up much of the building and it was burned beyond repair. The city could hardly wait for it to be cleaned up for safety and environmental reasons. After looking around, I came upon Tim Drakeford and his Drakeford Group Incorp. Tim was real good at getting things done in a timely manner. He talked to the city and Fire Dept. He got the permits and utility shut-offs. The demolition moved right along with Tim communicating with us along the way. And he got the work done for about half the price we were quoted from another company. It was such a relief to have a responsible and knowledgeable person handling our crisis. He even helped get someone interested in buying our lots so the garage could stay and save the cost of taking it down and removing it.

All of this was done within a week. The tear-down was done in a few hours on day one. They next day they did a partial clean up leaving the basement uncovered for city inspection. Once the inspection was okayed Mr. Drake's crew came in covered the hole and did a complete cleanup. I was very impressed with the quality, value and professionalism from Direct Construction Services, LLC. He even hauled away the debris from the property next door. I highly recommend this company!

TIM is great to work with. He was prompt and professional. I found more than a demolition man. It was a breeze to work with not to mention he is reasonable. I would highly recommend Direct Construction Services to anyone looking to have work done in the City of Detroit. Tim and his staff were great to work with from start to finish. They are very familiar with the city and all of their requirements/processes, and made our demo job easy for us. They offer very competitive pricing as well. Timothy Drakeford of Direct Construction Services is, without question, the best contractor experience I’ve ever had. I found Timothy through a Google search, and he responded quickly — which mattered more than I realized at the time. This was my first demolition project, tied to a fire-damaged property, insurance issues, city requirements, and utility clearances. I had very little understanding of the process, and honestly, it was overwhelming. From the very beginning, Timothy put my mind at ease. He assured me that he understood the process, that he was familiar with how the City of Detroit works, and that he would handle everything — and he absolutely did. Every step of the way, he communicated clearly and patiently, by text and phone, keeping me informed and explaining what was happening next in a way I could actually understand. Whenever a snag came up — and there were several (none from Timothy)— Timothy didn’t disappear or deflect. He communicated, took ownership, and handled it. He was incredibly patient with my questions and never made me feel uninformed or rushed. He truly walked me through the entire process, start to finish. What impressed me most is that Timothy went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a contractor. He wasn’t just doing a demolition — he managed the process, coordinated with the city, handled approvals, and even waited until final city approval before sending the final invoice. He personally called me to explain everything, which speaks volumes about his integrity and professionalism. By the end of the project, I felt nothing but relief and gratitude. Tim did very good job from start to end. Got city approval on time with very reasonable price. Added some photo of my project.
